Complices de longue date, Müller et Makaroff ont fondé le groupe Gotan Project qui a fait redécouvrir le tango à travers le monde, avec des arrangements électro pop imparables et des lignes de basse qui ont fait leur « touch » ! Avec Plaza Francia, en compagnie de la chanteuse Catherine Ringer des Rita Mitsouko, ils avaient élaboré de nouvelles passerelles mélodiques entre le tango et l’univers rock au fil de concerts à guichets fermés. Plaza Francia Orchestra poursuit avec brio leur exploration musicale originale, entouré d’un nouvel arrangeur, une nouvelle chanteuse et des meilleurs musiciens de la scène tango parisienne pour distiller des compositions aux rythmiques irrésistibles, dans la pure tradition des orchestres « típicas » qui font danser les foules de Buenos Aires. Magie des influences et du mélange des genres, leur nouvelle partition se marie parfaitement avec le souffle de l’Orchestre de Cannes : bandonéon envoûtant, voix d’une féroce sensualité… tout nous conte des histoires d’aujourd’hui au travers d’un tango novateur, plus vivant que jamais, et qui, loin de ses bases, mue sans perdre son identité mais en confortant son charisme universel.

Long-term music partners, Müller and Makaroff founded the group Gotan Project: their unstoppable electro pop arrangements and bass lines which hit the mark led the world to fall back in love with tango! The Plaza Francia Orchestra brilliantly continues their exploration of original music, in the company of a new arranger, a new singer and the best musicians from the Parisian tango scene. The result? Irresistible rhythmic compositions in the pure tradition of ‘tipicas’ orchestras, which set the crowds of Buenos Aires ‘a-dancing’. Full of magical influences and the fusion of genres, their new score blends perfectly with the style of the Orchestra of Cannes: bewitching bandoneons, ferociously sensual voices... Together they weave modern stories through an innovative tango, that is more vibrant than ever, and far from its roots, it is changing by enhancing its universal charisma without ever losing its identity.
