The Monaco Oceanographic Museum is a magical place for the family!
Created by Prince Albert I of Monaco in 1889, this imposing palace was built on a cliff-side and descended to the sea. The ornamentation of its facades, that of the rooms, all its architecture evokes the marine world.
It is a true immersion in the heart of the marine world. You will discover more than 6000 specimens in their faithfully reconstructed natural environment. You will be able to admire the amazing species of the Mediterranean, the incredible diversity of the inhabitants of the coral reef, and you will meet the predators in the monumental Shark Lagoon!.
You will have your eyes full, and you will have come to know, love and protect the oceans; this is the ambition of this unique place of international renown.
