This square is located at the site of the castle of la Bocca, built in 1854 and destroyed in 1937, after the death of its owner: the Marquise of Mores.
The city purchased the land and then sold a third of the Park in the 1960s, retaining only the most wooded part to create a public garden adjacent to the building "Castle of the sea".
