To see at the Museum: temporary and permanent exhibitions
Each year, the Museum of Explorations of the World offers a thematic temporary exhibition.
Visitors can also discover the permanent collections that were bequeathed to the City of Cannes by Baron Lyclama in 1877.
In a series of small rooms surrounded by gardens, are presented collections ofMediterranean archaeology (Egypt, Greece, Rome),ethnology and early arts (Himalayas, Oceania, Americas, Asia). The Chapel of St. Anne (XIcentury) brings together an exceptional set of musical instruments from all over the world (Asia, Africa, America, Oceania).
Three rooms dedicated toOrientalism and the arts of Iran open onto the courtyard of the museum and the square medieval tower of the XII century from which we discover, after climbing 109 steps, an admirable panorama.
